The Government of Bihar on October 30, 2026, issued a notification under Section 26(1) of the Code on Wages, 2019, determining the wage ceiling for eligibility for payment of bonus. Accordingly, every employee drawing wages not exceeding ₹21,000 per month shall be eligible for payment of bonus as specified under the said Section.
The notification prescribes ₹21,000 per month as the applicable wage threshold for determining employees eligible for bonus under the Code on Wages, 2019.
The notification shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from November 21, 2025.
