The Government of Haryana on November 02, 2026, issued amendments to the Haryana Property Tax notification regarding the applicability of New Tax Rates.
The following has been stated: -
•The Haryana Government, Urban Local Bodies Department, has amended its notification dated July 30, 2026, under the Haryana Municipal Act, 1973, with immediate effect.
•The revised provision allows property owners/occupiers to pay property tax under the old notification dated October 11, 2013, for five months from August 01, 2026.
•Thereafter, payment under the new taxation system and rates will become mandatory.
•Property tax already paid will remain unaffected until the financial year 2026–2027, while existing arrears and interest up to FY 2025–2026 will remain unchanged.
•From FY 2026–2027, all properties will be assessed for property tax exclusively under the new notification.
