The Jharkhand State Electricity Regulatory Commission (JERC) on October 24, 2026, issued the Jharkhand State Electricity Regulatory Commission (Levy and Collection of Fees and Charges by SLDC) (Second Amendment) Regulations, 2026 to further amend the JSERC (Levy and Collection of Fees and Charges by SLDC) Regulations, 2020.
The following amendments have been stated:
• Amendment to Clause 7.4 of the Principal Regulations In Clause 7.4 of the Principal Regulations, the following another proviso shall be inserted after the second proviso, namely: —
“Provided further that, in the event of failure of SLDC to submit the tariff petition within the timelines stipulated under Clause A26, the Commission may, in addition to disallowance of carrying cost, may impose such penalty or fine as deemed fit and proper by the Commission after providing a reasonable opportunity of being heard to the SLDC.”
