The NCDEX Limited, on November 03, 2026, issued a circular regarding Compliance Requirements for Undecorticated Cotton Seed Oilcake – Akola (Symbol: COCUDAKL) pursuant to the Gujarat Live-Stock Feed, Poultry Feed and Mineral Mixture Act, 2026.
The following has been stated: -
•The Government of Gujarat has brought the Gujarat Live-stock Feed, Poultry Feed and Mineral Mixture (Regulation of Production, Storage, Distribution, Sale and Quality Control) Act, 2026, into force with effect from October 12, 2026, requiring stakeholders dealing in Undecorticated Cotton Seed Oilcake in Gujarat to comply with licensing, quality standards, production, testing, storage, distribution, labelling and anti-adulteration requirements.
•The Act also mandates compliance with applicable Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) specifications. Market participants tendering stocks under Exchange contracts, irrespective of the production or delivery location, must comply with applicable BIS standards and statutory quality requirements.
•NCDEX is reviewing and harmonising the contract specifications for the Undecorticated Cotton Seed Oilcake – Akola (COCUDAKL) Futures Contract, with revised specifications to be notified separately after regulatory approvals.
