The Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, on November 04, 2026, issued the Textiles — Polypropylene (PP) Woven, Laminated, Block Bottom Valve Sacks for Packaging of 50 kg Cement (Quality Control) Third Amendment Order, 2026, under Sections 16 and 17 read with Section 25(3) of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016.
The amendment substitutes paragraph 1(2) of the principal Quality Control Order, 2023, to revise its commencement date. Accordingly, the requirements under the Quality Control Order shall come into force on January 6, 2027, instead of the earlier specified date.
The amended implementation date will apply from the date of publication of the Third Amendment Order in the Official Gazette. Manufacturers and other concerned stakeholders should align their compliance preparations with the revised commencement date.
