The Government of Delhi on November 02, 2026, issued approval for an amendment in the Bye-Laws of the Society.
The Competent Authority has approved the amendment to Bye-law No. 34 of the Society's registered bye-laws pursuant to the Society's application dated October 22, 2026. The Committee may now grant a maximum loan amount of ₹ 5,00,000 to a member, up from ₹3,00,000. However, the loan amount shall remain subject to the limit of ten times the borrower's Basic Pay or ten times the value of paid-up shares, whichever is lower. The Committee is also required to obtain security in each case, and the loan limit remains subject to any general or special restrictions or conditions imposed by the Registrar.
