Labour ComplianceThe Government of Punjab on November 03, 2026, in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 15 of the Code on Wages, 2019, has notified that every establishment and factory shall pay wages to employees only through cheque, direct credit into the employee's bank account, or electronic mode. Accordingly, establishments and factories are required to ensure that wage payments are made exclusively through the prescribed banking or electronic channels.
